چکیده

Background: Decompensated cirrhosis (DC) in children is the main indication of liver transplantation (LT). The lack access to and impending clinical complications while awaiting affect morbidity mortality pretransplant patients. Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) therapy has shown promising results adult decompensated as a potential bridging treatment. Our study aimed identify effect G-CSF on pediatric end-stage disease (PELD) score, function, CD34+ cell mobilization, nutritional status, survival, short-term side effects LT. Methods: This was an open-label, randomized controlled trial that included patients with between 3 months 12 years age. intervention group received courses subcutaneous injection (5 μg/kg/day) plus standard medical treatment (SMT) for cirrhosis. Results were obtained regarding PELD scores, changes leukocyte neutrophil counts, within three months. Results: Thirty-five into (17 patients) control (18 groups. During trial, 14 (82%) completed median ages groups 18 14.5 months, respectively. study's primary outcome identified no statistically significant difference scores after Liver function tests showed compared from improvements alanine aminotransferase (ALT) levels. Other tests, survival did not. mobilization increased group, but there difference. Minor observed group. Conclusion: Multiple doses not improve significantly temporary improvement ALT level.

The Effect of Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor Administration on Preterm Infant with Neutropenia and Clinical Sepsis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Abstract Background This study was conducted to evaluate the clinical effect of Granulocyte Colony Stimulating Factor (GCSF) on prognosis of neonatal sepsis. Materials and Methods Present study is a double- blinded randomized clinical trial, conducted on 46 preterm infants with neutropenia (Absolute Neutrophil Count (ANC) ≤ 5000 / μL) and clinical sepsis. Infants were randomly allocated ...

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor and autologous CD133-positive stem-cell therapy in liver cirrhosis (REALISTIC): an open-label, randomised, controlled phase 2 trial

BACKGROUND Results of small-scale studies have suggested that stem-cell therapy is safe and effective in patients with liver cirrhosis, but no adequately powered randomised controlled trials have been done. We assessed the safety and efficacy of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and haemopoietic stem-cell infusions in patients with liver cirrhosis. METHODS This multicentre, open-l...

Granulocyte colony stimulating factor therapy for stroke: A pairwise meta-analysis of randomized controlled trial

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is atherapeutic candidate for stroke that has demonstrated anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective properties. Data from preclinical and clinical studies have suggested the safety and efficacy of G-CSF in stroke; however, the exact effects and utility of this cytokine in patients remain disputed. We performed a meta-analysis of randomized controlled t...

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor in the treatment of high-risk febrile neutropenia: a multicenter randomized trial.

BACKGROUND Granulocyte colony-stimulating factors (G-CSFs) have been shown to help prevent febrile neutropenia in certain subgroups of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, but their role in treating febrile neutropenia is controversial. The purpose of our study was to evaluate-in a prospective multicenter randomized clinical trial-the efficacy of adding G-CSF to broad-spectrum antibiotic tr...
